Deeper Snow overnight - more Pics

Dear All,

It must have snowed steadily all night because this morning the place looks like an archetypical Christmas scene. Obo is enthusiastic about going for a walk, but I wasn't. Yesterday, one chap slipped and fell and has his wrist in a plaster now for the next few weeks! The snow is powdery but where you walk becomes ice. Anyway, here are some pictures of the same places as yesterday morning and you should be able to see the extra depth of snow.

Dear Rita, Aren't you glad you still have your winter clothes! I hope you enjoy it all to the full. I'd advise - no skating on that ice! Here in B. we've had quite a lot of rain but very little into the dams. Lucy and I went on the parish bus trip to Currumbin Rocks and Murwillumbah. It was very lovely going through the Gold Coast hinterland. What a beautiful spot is the former. You have no doubt been up there somewhere near the source of the creek/river as it tumbles over the rocks and into the rock pools. Everyone here is well. Lots of love and prayers from all at Corinda

Sorry Rita, your latest pictures don't show up. The earlier ones do so perhaps there is something different in the way you uploaded them? I walked often in snow in Italy, usually with heavy boots and gaiters on. It must be difficult for older people in some of the mountain villages, especially when ice forms as the snow melts and there is a heavy frost. We've booked to come up to Brisbane in June for your party. Keep well and enjoy the change of climate and pace. Love, Kath (and John)

Rita

These are some nice photos showing the snow. It looks like you had more than I did recently in Luton.
